Cool weather expected! Highs in the 70s, lows in the 60s. Light showers possible. We'll be on a boat too, which will be breezy.

FAQs

Question

Why Idaho?

Answer

Maya's pursuing a doctorate in nurse anesthesia through Gonzaga, just 40 minutes away. Since we moved here, Idaho, has become Ourdahome. We love the community, lakes, and mountains that surround us.

Question

Where even is Idaho?

Answer

Not next to Illinois. That's Iowa. We're even further: just two hours from the Canadian border between Montana and Washington.

Question

How do I pronounce Coeur d'Alene?

Answer

Core-da-Lane. Around 1808, Iroquois guides, while helping French-speaking fur traders, described the local Schitsu'umsh people as "sharp-hearted" for their shrewd trading practices. This translated to "Coeur," or heart, "d'Alene," of an awl (a sharp pointed tool used for sewing and poking holes in hide).

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only celebration.

For all the days along the way
