We initially matched on OkCupid and we quickly realized why our match percentage was so high. We shared a love for family, traveling, music, games, and many other things. Also, unbeknownst to us, we shared an apartment building. One fateful day, we spotted each other near the entrance of the Palisades Apartments and after a few awkward questions we realized that we both lived in the same building.

The night started with a surprise dinner at Bourbon Steak located inside The Four Seasons Hotel in DC. After a delicious and very filling dinner, Ryan insisted that we order dessert. Our "dessert" was delivered on a large platter concealed by a smoke-filled glass covering. As the platter was placed on the table, Ryan commanded the attention of the entire restaurant. He pulled back the glass cover to reveal a ring box and proposed. I, of course, said yes! A photographer was present to capture the moment and we were escorted upstairs to our suite. The next day Ryan surprised me with a massage at the Four Seasons Spa! It was the perfect proposal!
