Our story begins with a plane ride to the San Pedro Sula airport. Little did we know at the time what kind of story would unfold. It was Maya's second year in Honduras and Job's first, and we met at the beautiful, aesthetic food court where Job pulled out a Robert Frost poetry book and the rest became history.... well not exactly. We were simply good friends, coworkers, and even neighbors for the first six months of knowing each other, despite having crushes on each other. We got to know each other through our love of literature and developing the Language program at the school, through going to mass together and having theological conversations, through traveling around Honduras and trying not to get car sick on buses together, and through game nights with our friends. We simply did life together all the time since our community in Honduras was so small - all we had was each other, and we realized that we loved doing life together. Even though Honduras has been filled with its highs and its lows, we will be forever grateful to God that Honduras brought us together. However, we are now excited to embark on this next adventure - marriage!
