This map is still growing and will have a ton of options for you explore whether you're a foodie, all about soaking up the sun on the beach, ready to shop the Israeli design scene, explore historical sites and more! Tel Aviv's beaches are all connected along the city coastline starting near the Hilton down to Banana Beach - Popular beaches are Gordon, Frishman, Bugrashov and Banana beach with restaurants like La Mer (Bugrashov beach) attracting young Israelis and foreigners who are looking to enjoy good drinks and watermelon and feta (this is a beach food staple). As you walk along the coastline you'll find some beaches are more relaxed than others, some cater to dog owners, separate beaches for the more modest and active beaches with "matkot" players everywhere (beach bats). Explore them and enjoy the diverse atmospheres!
The old city of Jaffa is gorgeous and there's a ton to see and do here! Start at the clock tower and wander through the winding streets to discover the great food, architecture and antique markets. We highly recommend exploring the Jaffa Flea Market, getting a bagel with cheese and olives from Abulafia or hummus from Abu Hassan and wandering through Jaffa's Old Port. Google Map link coming soon!
This beautiful area of the city houses Israeli designers and some of the city's finest boutiques. Stroll through Shabazi street and enjoy looking at or indulging in some designer treasures. https://www.timeout.com/israel/shopping/shopping-on-shabazi-a-guide-to-neve-tzedeks-trendy-boutiques
The Western Wall is one of the most historic, controversial and holy sites in the world. It's worth the visit. Note: dress modestly or take something with you to cover your shoulders i.e. wear something that covers up to your knees, your shoulders/bicep and chest.
For a truly unique experience, being a Bedouin guest, living in the desert and riding camels will introduce you to the hospitality, food, and warmth of Middle Eastern culture. This camp is also in the south and can be where you sit back and relax after your hiking adventures in the south. I assume they booked out quickly so booked in advance. Keep in mind there are Bedouin camps across the country so feel to explore other areas that you'll be traveling to.
As wine lovers, no trip is complete without visiting a local winery. We've recommended Tishbi since it's up North and close to wedding venue but here are some other vineyards to explore: https://igoogledisrael.com/10-of-the-best-wineries-to-visit-in-israel/
These formal gardens flowing down 19 steep terraces to a resplendent domed shrine – the final resting place of the prophet-herald of the Baha’i faith – are Haifa’s crowning attraction. There are bird’s-eye views from the platform at the top, but we highly recommend the free, 45-minute Panorama Tour. Look out for English tours dates and times. Arrive half an hour ahead as it's first come, first served. Men and women must be covered from shoulders to knees.
