Local Recommendations

Our relationship came to be in the neighborhood we call our home, the Upper East Side. We have spent countless hours walking around Central Park, visiting museums, and bopping into shops. There is no limit on things to do, and it's best to follow a fun activity like the Central Park Zoo with a delicious meal. At the time of writing this, we have eaten at 55 different restaurants on the Upper East Side together. Here are some of our tried and true favorites we would love to share with you.

Bondurants

303 East 85th Street, New York, NY 10028

Our first date spot and where Charlie proposed! Cozy vibes, and fantastic food and drinks.

Elio's

1621 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10028

An Upper East Side institution. White table cloth Italian, an off-menu chicken parm that always brings the house down, and as good of a martini you can find anywhere. Sit at the bar!

Tacos & Tequila

1742 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10128

There is no telling how many times we have eaten here or ordered take out. Margaritas the size of your head, delicious food, and sidewalk seating that is perfect for some people watching.

Bagel Shop

1659 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10128

Apparently this place went viral on TikTok! We've been going since before that happened, though. Grab a bagel sandwich of your choice and don't be deterred by the lines, they move quickly.

JG Melon

1291 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10021

Maya likes to tell the same story about a time she dined here at 5 years old every single time we go. Charlie listens patiently. The best burger on the planet (just slightly biased), and don't forget to add cottage fries and get the turkey club for the table.
