There are no direct flights to the island of Boracay from the US because there are no international airports on or close to the island. You will need to book a domestic flight from Manila (MNL) to Caticlan Airport (Boracay) when scheduling your travel plans.
Boracay Island is the crown jewel of the Philippines and is far too small to make room for an airport. Often referred to as “Boracay Airport”, Caticlan Airport, or Godofredo P. Ramos Airport. It’s located in the town of Malay, Aklan, and is just a short boat ride away from the white beach of Boracay.
If you are staying at Shangri-La Boracay complimentary transfers will be available. If you are staying at another hotel on the island, you may be liable for your own transfers costs.

The recommendation is the exchange at the Manila Airport. You also have access to the ATM all over the Philippines. You should always have some cash on hand for smaller stores that might not have point of sale machines and any emergencies if your card does not work for some reason. Current Currency Exchange: 1 US Dollar = 58.72 Philippine Peso
