Our Story

Andrew and Kylie's story didn’t begin the day they met; it began a year earlier, when Kylie’s mom shared a vision that the Lord had shown her: a man with blonde hair, tall, and walking toward her with light rushing behind him. She additionally knew that this future person would be a football player. Kylie, eager for college, tucked this thought away, hoping that the person her mom described could be true, while equally set on beginning a new life for herself. Life went on, and Kylie headed to Bridgewater College to play volleyball, unaware that Andrew was also on his way there for football. Their dorms ended up right across from each other, and soon they were part of the same group of friends, spending many moments together. From Andrew’s perspective, the connection was instant. He had gone into college hopeful for new beginnings, and when he met Kylie, he was drawn to her immediately. Even though his pursuit went deeper than friendship, Kylie wasn’t ready to accept it at first. To say Andrew was disappointed would be true, but he never stopped caring. He was patient, steady, and always kept Kylie in the back of his mind, trusting that if it was meant to be, God would make a way. One day, they both realized that the Lord was slowly shaping something inside of them, little by little, and in His perfect timing. Over time, friendship turned into something deeper, and they learned to love through imperfections, fight for each other in hard seasons, and most importantly, set Jesus as the foundation and purpose of their relationship. When the time was right, they both felt God calling them to take the next step, to plan the rest of their lives together. Andrew proposed to Kylie on June 29, 2025, and they began planning for their lives ahead. Looking back, it is clear that Andrew was the man Kylie’s mom saw those few years ago. Now, as they prepare to step into marriage, they know that their story has been designed to reflect their Creator and the love He desires for all of His creation to know. It is the beginning of something eternal, meant to reflect the heart of Jesus and His ultimate sacrificial love.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
