Not far from Atlantic City is the historic landmark, Lucy the Elephant. Please don't miss the opportunity to climb up to the observation deck and get a great view of the ocean from the top of an elephant.
This aquarium is very small, but does have a touch tank, a sea turtle, and few fun activities. Be advised, it is very packed on rainy days. The Garners Basin area also has a lot of small shops, a few restaurants, and views of the inlet.
The only lighthouse in New Jersey with its original first-order Fresnel Lens still in place at the top. Constructed in 1857 and decommissioned in 1933, this lighthouse was restored in the 1990s, and still lights up at night. Moms climb free on May 13th!
Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to enjoy bird watching, and spend some time with nature.
This famous sub shop has been frequented by every important person to visit Atlantic City, including the bride and groom. The bread is made at a local bakery. So grab a number, get in line, and experience what an Italian sub should taste like!
Historic Smithville has cute shops and places to eat. If the weather is nice, take a stroll and go back in time.
