Maxx and Megan met, ironically, during the COVID19 pandemic. Their relationship blossomed while Megan was taking online classes in Wenatchee, and both decided that they couldn't live life without the other when she moved back to Seattle. Maxx drove 150 miles Friday night to visit Megan in her small studio apartment, then 150 miles back to Wenatchee on Sunday evening to make it to work the following day. He made this journey weekly for 9 months. Meanwhile, Megan went back to Wenatchee only for holidays (she didn't have a car or a job, okay?!). Their favorite memories from these visits include the following: getting late-night chicken and mac'n'cheese at Ezelle's, early morning breakfast at Geraldine's, that one time it snowed and they had the neighborhood to themselves because no one wanted to leave their homes, and Megan dancing in the kitchen while Maxx made the only nutritious dinner she would have that week. Upon graduation, Megan was sick of Seattle and Maxx was sick of the drive (let it be known that he never complained), so Megan found a job in Wenatchee, and they moved in together in July 2021. They adopted their dog, Prince, that same October and he has brought joy into their lives ever since. 2021 - 2024 included lots of traveling, job changes, camping, snowboarding, other miscellaneous adventures, and even more love. The character limit does not allow for a detailed account of the fun that they have had together over the years, but suffice it to say, time truly flies when you're enjoying life with your best friend and love of your life. After persistent hints (read: flat-out asking when it was going to happen) from Megan, Maxx popped the question in September of 2024 at Lake Valhalla, after a 4-mile hike. It was a beautiful day with a gorgeous backdrop and Megan finally got what she wanted, so even though she was sweaty and out of breath, she said yes. That brings us to today, precisely 217 days before our wedding as I (Megan) am typing this. We have had so many adventures since meeting in 2020, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of our future holds! If our past has any value in predicting the future, I anticipate more spontaneous adventures, child-like excitement for all that life has to offer, and lots and lots of love. We are so excited to celebrate with you!
