It all began on a rainy Halloween Weekend night in Madison where I first laid eyes on you. It was at a basement bar called City Bar. It was a dirty and dark bar, where no cell phone in existence could find a signal. I remember feeling an instant connection with you as we shared smiles and laughs the rest of the night, but our story would only grow from there. The world threw some road blocks at us early in our relationship. There was a global pandemic that caused us to go months without seeing each other. Late night FaceTime calls became our new normal. When it was finally safe to return to our ordinary ways of life, we were in two different states. We made long distance work, until we found ourselves starting a home together in the city we first met. Our story would only grow from there. Kira, we have shared countless adventures together. From our trip to Colorado to see Lord Huron at Red Rocks, to fun weekends in Nashville and New Orleans. Each experience brought us closer together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. I'll never forget the moment we had 15 minutes to get across the Atlanta airport to catch our flight home. I've never seen you run so fast in your life, and I don't think I ever will again. As you always say: "If you see me running, you better be running too!" Our story would only grow from there. Fast forward to June 2024, where I asked you to be my partner for life. When you said yes, my heart skipped a beat, thinking about how excited I was to continue our love story with this big step.
