House Or Rental
Our recommendation for any groups coming in for the full mountain experience. The town of Telluride is lined with charming Victorian houses from its' historic past as a mining boom town. Mountain Village is perched above the valley floor at 9,500 feet. The towns of Telluride and Mountain Village are linked by a free gondola that takes you from the town of Telluride at 8,600 ft, up to the center of Mountain Village in a spectacular scenic 13 minute ride. The Gondola stops at the highest point San Sophia station at 10,000 feet. The town of Telluride and Mountain Village are two different areas. The town is the original historic area while Mountain Village is the center of the ski area with luxury hotels and condos.
Travel Note
We will be in Mountain Village near the gondola. Just as a point of reference incase you're wanting to be nearby! If you are looking at homes in Mountain Village, please consider proximity to the gondola as well. This is free and runs until 12 am everyday. It allows you to get in and out of the town of Telluride without driving at all.
Travel Note
Please prepare yourselves for the journey. This means lots of water (twice as much as normal) in the days leading up, while traveling, and once you are here. If hiking, biking, running, walking, or exerting any physical exercise while in Telluride, hydration is essential to your stay. Telluride sits at 8,750ft above sea level and UV rays are no joke. Even when overcast, the sun is brutal. Please be sure to bring sunscreen. We will also be sure to have plenty of extras! Max would also like to inform everyone of the alti-toots. Per his extensive research, he has found that you have more gas whenever you enter a higher altitude. Grant for this research is still pending.
