La Basílica de Quito
The Basílica is a Roman Catholic church located in the historic center of Quito, Ecuador. It is the largest neo-Gothic Basilica in the Americas. La Basílica, es un edificio religioso de estilo neogótico del centro histórico de Quito.
El Panecillo
El Panecillo is a 200-metre-high hill of volcanic-origin, with loess soil, located between southern and central Quito. Its peak is at an elevation of 3,016 metres above sea level. It is located on the top of the hill of El Panecillo, a loaf-shaped hill in the heart of the city and serves as a backdrop to the historic center of Quito El Panecillo es una elevación natural de 3.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, (200 metros más alto que el promedio de la ciudad de Quito) enclavada en el corazón mismo de la ciudad de Quito. La escultura representa a la Virgen María tal como se la describe en el libro bíblico del Apocalipsis: una mujer con alas, una cadena que apresa a la serpiente que tiene bajo sus pies.
