Market Square
In the heart of downtown, Market Square is a walkable area filled with restaurants, rooftop bars and shops. Our favorite stops are Kabuki, the sushi restaurant and the rooftop at Preservation Pub.
Ijams Nature Center
Part of Knoxville's own urban wilderness- Ijams Nature Center is minutes from downtown and features 14 miles of walkable trails, a quarry to swim or rent a kayak, or visit the art gallery in the visitor's center. Parking is $5 a day.
Sunsphere and World's Fair Park
Take a stroll in World's Fair Park and then ride up to the 4th floor observation deck of the Sunsphere to get a 360 view of downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee. Tickets are $10 for adults.
McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture
Located on University of Tennessee campus, the McClung Museum's exhibitions showcase the geological, historic and artistic past of Tennessee. Admission is free.
