The ceremony and reception will be hosted at the Edgewater, and we have a room block reserved here with discounted rates for our guests on Friday and Saturday night. If you will be arriving earlier than Friday, you can email the hotel at Rooms@edgewaterhotel.com and reference the McKinstry/LaCosse room block to get the discounted rate applied to the other day(s). Rental Car

Do I need a rental car?

No! If you're staying at the Edgewater or somewhere else downtown, you do not need to rent a car (daily parking at the Edgewater is also $60 per day). There is frequent and safe public transit that can take you all over the city, and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers. If you're interested in getting out of the city (like to visit a nearby national park), a rental car may make things easier, but for wedding purposes is not needed.

Train

Link Light Rail

If you're flying into Seattle-Tacoma Airport, you can get to downtown Seattle via the Link Light Rail. There is a Light Rail station at the airport, and for a flat $3 and 45 minute ride, you can get to the city! We love taking the Light Rail and would highly recommend it. The Edgewater is about a 10-15 minute walk from Symphony Station.

Taxi Information

One of the easiest ways to get from the airport to The Edgewater (or anywhere in Seattle) is by taxi. Most taxis charge a $45 flat rate for a ride from SeaTac to downtown Seattle. You can get a taxi at Ground Transportation at the airport.
