Please arrive around 5pm for welcome cocktails! The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm.
Welcome Fiesta dress code is Beach Cocktail. No ties or jackets are required. In general, you can dress a little more casually than 'standard' cocktail attire, but shorts are too casual. Guys, you could wear a vacay button-down and pants. Ladies I would wear a cute matching set or dress that you would wear out on vacation. I will probably be a little more dressy so, honestly, you can't go wrong. It can get a little breezy at night so you might want a light blazer or something! We will be in the grass so wear block heels!
The wedding dress code is Beach Formal. Jackets are required. Ties for men and long dresses for ladies are welcome, but not required. We will be outside overlooking the ocean so think of summer colors and light/linen suits. Again, vacation vibes! It can get cool at night, especially with the ocean breeze so please consider bringing a shawl or something to stay warm. We will be on the grass so I'd recommend wearing block heels, ladies!
Warm! Expect highs of 85 and lows in the 60s. It will be summertime beach weather during the day but can get a little bit cool at night so you might want to bring a light jacket!
Sayulita is a very small town and all our events are within walking distance so there will not be transportation provided. If you don’t want to walk (also totally get that bc heels) you can rent a golf cart from your hotel or your hotel can schedule car/taxi service for you! While we love all the children in our lives, please understand that our wedding weekend events will be adults-only. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions or need help setting up local child care.
NO. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER. Drink bottled water only, even at restaurants. I literally brush my teeth with bottled water.
In my experience, ice is fine. You will be served cocktails with ice in them. I have never gone to the lengths of scooping the ice out of my drink and I have never (knock on wood) gotten sick. The ice is NBD.
We will be serving water in glasses from giant purified jugs of bottled water. So the water at our wedding is bottled, just served in a glass. The water we serve is safe to drink.
1. Don't drink the water, we've been over this. 2. Don't eat oysters or sketchy food from vendors walking on the beach. 3. Don't eat salad from vendors on the beach (often, salad leaves are washed in unfiltered water and then that's what ends up making you sick - be very cautious around leafy salad!) Ask your doctor for a prescription to Zofran. Zofran is an anti-nasuea and vomitting drug. It's a miracle worker. If you do get sick, you'll be glad you have this. (Also helps with hangovers!) If you want to be extra cautious you can also take some natural supplements to help kill tummy bugs: Morning: oregano oil, goldenseal, activated charcoal Night: pro-biotic
In the "travel" section we have linked a bunch of private car services that you can book round trip. I have used a few different companies and had great experiences every time. You can also Uber or rent a car if you prefer that!
No, the outlets in Mexico are the same as in the US!
