Question

Why do I need to book my room so early?

Answer

The Beale Street Music Festival takes place the first weekend in May and showcases an eclectic lineup of national and local musical talent. BSMF is part of the Memphis in May International Festival, and is one of the largest music festivals in the country. The festival is held downtown on the Mississippi River and brings thousands of visitors each year. All downtown hotels are projected to sell out that weekend, and rates will skyrocket as we near closer to the event. Both The Peabody and Central Station have generous cancellation policies and we strongly recommend securing a reservation as early as possible to ensure that you can get a room downtown.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please join us for the historic Peabody Duck March on Friday, May 5th at 5:00pm, if you are available. You should arrive to the Grand Lobby of The Peabody Hotel between 4:00-4:30pm to find your seat. The Duckmaster will tell the history of the hotel and the World Famous Peabody Ducks beginning at 4:40, and the Ducks will march down the red carpet promptly at 5pm.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love all your kids so much and we would love to celebrate with them! However, due to size constraints at our venue we cannot provide place settings for any children under two years of age. There is also limited storage for strollers or carriers. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Additionally, please keep in mind that this is an open-bar event and some music may contain explicit language.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Come Lookin' Good!!! We're gunna dress our best, so why shouldn't you? We're not asking for Black Tie, but we'd appreciate a nice 'fit! Semi-formal. Try not to wear blue if you can help it, but if you do we won't hold it against you (we just don't really like the color) ;)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let Max or Riley know if you have a food allergy, or would prefer a Vegan/Vegetarian meal.

Question

Is there parking for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Yes, parking is located at 35 Monroe Ave. Memphis, TN 38103. This is a paid garage called Premium Parking. If you are staying at the The Peabody, we recommend that you walk! It is a short 3 blocks to Beale Street Landing. If you are staying at Central Station Hotel, it is approximately a half mile walk. We recommend you take the Main Street Trolley ($1/person/ride) to the Union Avenue stop, which will place you a quick 5 minute walk from Beale Street Landing.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, secure parking is located on site at 4339 Park Ave. Memphis, TN 38117. A parking lot security officer will monitor the area for the duration of the event. Vehicles may be left overnight and picked up the following day during regular museum hours and the property is not accessible by vehicle or foot outside of regular hours (Sunday 1-5pm).
