Flora Farms is a 25 acre organic working farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Home to Flora’s Field Kitchen, The Farm Bar, Flora Farms Grocery and Flora Farms Celebrations. The farm is also home to the Shoppes at Flora Farms, the Culinary Cottages & The Haylofts, (our hand-built, straw bale luxury homes for the culinary-inclined), as well as The Farm Spa, an intimate spa and wellness experience achieved through nature-based spa services, in a supremely peaceful setting.
Los Cabos boasts an extraordinary mountain-desert-ocean environment where golf’s top designers – like Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones, Tiger Woods, and others – have crafted some of the world’s finest courses. Set back from the shoreline’s sun-drenched beaches and sparkling waters are more than a dozen exquisite layouts built. With two courses in GOLF Magazine’s “Top 100 in the World” list and four of the top five courses in Mexico as ranked by Golf Digest, and along with consistently sunny weather, Los Cabos is the undisputed golf capital of Mexico. An exotic, must-play getaway within easy reach of most U.S. and Canadian cities. Contact the concierege at The Cape for more information!
San José del Cabo’s latest farm-to-table creation is Acre Baja, a design-forward development that offers an immersive experience, including yoga, hiking, and a dozen treehouses where guests can spend the night. Diners come to enjoy dishes like chicken liver mousse with chicken chicharrón and pickled turnip, fried tomatoes with sherry and honey syrup and crispy basil, and grilled fish pibil tacos with burnt salsa. Most of the ingredients are grown on the surrounding 25 acres of organic farmland or come from the area. Even the furniture, dishes, and lighting are sourced from local artisans. They even have puppies available for adoption - which means I am sure you will find Max and Morgan there!
The Wildlife Reserve and Estuary is a short walk from historic downtown. It is where freshwater from the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains mingles with saltwater from the Sea of Cortés. Walk or bike the paved path that runs along a portion of this lush, green safe haven and enjoy the many exotic plants and animals. This estuary is home to more than 100 species of birds, fish, turtles, and other marine animals.
