The Madison airport is small yet convenient -- just a short 7 min. drive to our venue, and not more than 10 - 15 min. from our suggested hotels! Ride share (Uber, Lyft, etc.) pickup is located outside Door # 6 to the right, along the terminal curb. And local taxi companies can be contacted at: Madison Taxi (608) 255-8294 www.madtaxi.com Union Cab (608) 242-2000 www.unioncab.com

Flying into Chicago typically offers much more affordable rates and many more scheduling/airline options than flying directly into Madison. We recommend taking a bus from Chicago O'Hare to Madison UW Campus with Coach USA (formerly "the Van Galder bus"): https://www.coachusa.com/airport-transportation Alternatively, renting a car is always an option and the drive is a bit faster by car (2hrs) than bus (3-4hrs) due to the route and stops.

The Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is also a great and reliable airport located 1-1.5hrs from Madison. We recommend renting a car if you opt for this airport.
Travel Note
Madison is a wonderfully walkable and bike-able city with quick access to Uber or Lyft ride share options, so renting a car is certainly not necessary. Madison BCycle can be a fun way to get around town by e-bike. Madison BCycle offers a single ride pass allowing riders to pick up a bike at any station and return it to that same station or any other station when they’re done. (More info at madison.bcycle.com or download their app). Madison also has a robust public transit system and more information about the bus schedule can be found here: https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules or on Google Maps (just plug in your location and it will show you the best route!). Metro Transit is $2/ride and accepts cash (exact change only).
