new date, different location, bigger party!

After our initial wedding plans got cancelled due to the pandemic, we decided to elope just the two of us in Maui, HI on November 22nd. Our elopement took place in the middle of a rainforest, and it will forever be one of the craziest, most special things we've done! As things are now opening back up, we want nothing more than to celebrate and renew our vows with all of you!

Just days before their 6 year anniversary, Max took Mel to Lake Elsinore to see the Poppy Super Bloom - a rare occurrence that only happens once in a lifetime! After wandering around the fields for what seemed like hours, Max led her to a remote look out where he got down on one knee & asked the question that's been on his mind since he met her 6 years ago.

Max and Mel met during the first week of their freshman year of Pepperdine. After forgetting Mel's name during their second encounter, Max was paired with her during a sorority/fraternity mixer a few weeks later where he had to drive her to get ice cream sandwiches nearby - they say third time's the charm! Little did he know, Mel had told all her friends going into the night that the next guy she dated would drive a white truck (partly joking, but secretly serious). Lo and behold, Max drove a white truck - it was love at first drive! Since that fateful first date, they've had countless adventures together. From eating their weight in pizza while studying abroad in Florence together to exploring every inch of Southern California, graduating college and getting their first jobs to enduring traffic on the 405 and conquering an MBA program, their years together have been filled with lots of laughter and love. Max and Mel consider their relationship to be one big adventure. And now they’d like you to join them as they embark on their greatest journey yet - getting married!!
