The fateful evening happened in 2012 at the Brave New Workshop Comedy Theater in Minneapolis. Never having met, we were randomly selected to perform together in an improv show. We "yes, and"-ed the heck out of that, grabbed some pizza and here we are ten years later, the scene sufficiently heightened. We love to laugh almost as much as we love each other, and we're looking forward to a lifetime of gags and goofs.

Northfield, MN is a special place for us. It's where the Jesse James Gang was defeated in 1876, and also where Max went to college. It's also the site of our very first day trip together in 2012. We enjoyed the pretty fall colors, sipped tasty coffee, picked pumpkins, and fell further in love. So it was fitting that 9 years later- to the day*- I proposed to Justina on a walk through the Carleton campus. True to form, Justina thought I was joking, as I had forgotten to get down on one knee. Those issues were quickly resolved, and against the cozy backdrop of autumn leaves and toasted cereal in the air, Justina said yes. Later that night, we celebrated with tasty sushi, cold champagne, and our precious dog-son, Charlie. We toasted to our family and to many more trips to Northfield and the rest of our lives together. *Max says this was intentional, but Justina has the receipts.
