Things To Do

When you aren't celebrating with us, we encourage you to check out all of the other activities Manchester has to offer!

Equinox Resort

3567 Main Street, Manchester, VT 05254

The Equinox Resort offers a variety of fun including tennis and pickleball courts, fly fishing with Orvis, canoe or kayaking, off-roading with Land Rover, a full spa and fitness center, access to hiking trails at the Equinox preserve, and a full golf course ranked in the top 3 in VT and in the top 75 in the U.S.!

Head out for a Hike

Vermont has thousands of lovely trails and there are plenty right in Manchester! You can enter all trails in the Equinox Preserve from the back of the Equinox property (maps available at the front desk) or head to another trail head in town. One fun summer hike is Lye Brook Falls trail. This hike is a down and out that takes about 2.5 hours total (not including the time you will want to spend at the waterfall at the end of the trail). If you are interested in finding more hikes in the area we suggest checking out AllTrails.com.

Head over to Dorset

Dorset, VT

Just 10 mins away is the adorable town of Dorset! Stop off at the Dorset Union Store or Dorset Bakery for a picnic lunch before heading to the Dorset Marble Quarry (the oldest marble quarry in the US) for a swim in the sun.

Where to Eat

There are dozens of restaurants to try in the area but please see a list of our favorites: Up for Breakfast, Little Rooster Cafe, Thai Basil, The Union Underground, The Crooked Ram, The Silver Fork, Hill Farm, Ye Old Tavern, The Reluctant Panther, and of course all of the lovely restaurants on the Equinox property.

Where to Drink

If you are looking for a spot to grab a drink or some good bar food, there are a few places in town we suggest: The Falcon Bar at the Equinox, Mulligan's Restaurant and Pub, and Haig's Sports Bar. Note: All of the above are walking distance from both hotels.

Do some shopping

Manchester is home to many outlet stores including but not limited to Le Creuset, Orvis, Ralph Lauren, Tumi, and J Crew. There are also plenty of local spots in Manchester Center to check out.

Local Farmstands

The Manchester area is home to many farms and farmstands. As you drive along route 7a on your way from Arlington, you will see plenty of signs for stands selling local fruits, veggies, cheese, and maple syrup. Our favorite stop is for some fresh ice cream at the Wilcox Ice Cream stand. If you are looking for more of a larger farmstand, make sure to check out the Dutton Farmstand in town (Linked below).
