We're getting married!

Max and Erika’s story began in the summer of 2025, when they first noticed each other across a church sand volleyball court. Short conversations between plays quickly turned into weekend plans with friends, and before long, Thursday night volleyball became the highlight of their week. On August 17th, Max asked Erika on their first date to Francesca’s Restaurant in Frankfort. Their connection was undeniable, and one date naturally turned into another, then another, until it became clear they had found something truly special. But if we’re being honest, their mutual love of ranch might have sealed the deal. Just a few weeks later, on September 3rd, 2025, Max asked Erika to be his girlfriend. In the months that followed, they fell in love through the simple moments, like cooking together, walking on the trails, going on pizza dates, and sharing coffee and donuts at Gost Coffee. Then, on February 15, 2026, Max led Erika to a private overlook at Starved Rock National Park. Above the canyon and river, surrounded by stillness and beauty, Max asked Erika to spend forever with him, and she said yes! Now, as they step into forever together, they are overjoyed to celebrate with the family and friends who have loved and supported them along the way.
