Caroline and Max first met when they were 11 years old at Bay Trail Middle School. They instantly became friends and Max was Caroline's first crush as documented in her middle school diary. They remained in the periphery of each other’s lives when they got to high school until sophomore year when they sat at opposite ends of the same lunch table. Each day, the gap between them got smaller until eventually, everyone got tired of sitting in the middle of their conversations. They realized then how much they had in common. By the summer of that same year, they started dating and never stopped — not even for one day. After graduating high school, they both headed to Pittsburgh for college. Caroline went to Duquesne University and Max went to the University of Pittsburgh a few minutes down the road. They navigated this transition side by side - moving to a new city 250+ miles away from home, meeting new people, learning about themselves and each other together. After college, Caroline and Max moved to Stamford, Connecticut in 2023 where they started their adult lives and careers. Wherever life has taken them, it has taken them together. In October of 2024, Caroline and Max got engaged in Paris on their first international trip together where Max orchestrated the proposal of a lifetime in front of the Eiffel Tower.
