And Max was on board for not dragging out the awkward get-to-know-yous. They had dinner and drinks in Manayunk and talked for hours. They quickly set up a second date... and the rest is history!

Four years, one house, and a small cat later... Max surprised Brie by popping the question (..at 7am..) on a quiet mountain overlook off of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina during a Labor Day weekend road trip. They celebrated their engagement that night in Roanoke, VA (fun fact: it's the home of the world's largest free-standing illuminated star).
