Is This Happening?

As of now, we’re going to try and have this wedding. We’ve spent a ton of time weighing pros and cons and what we quickly found out is that there really isn’t a good answer. But because of a billion things that have already been set in motion (and because Bethany and I love each other very much), we’re going to try and push forward. That being said, if you do not feel safe, please, please, please do not feel obligated to come. We understand. As much as we want to celebrate with you, we don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable. We will do everything we can to keep everyone safe but with the way things are right now, we know that sometimes isn’t enough, and that is absolutely okay. We ask you to wear masks and practice social distancing. We will have hand sanitizer at every table and masks available as well. Please note, as much as we would love everyone to be here, if you are feeling sick in any kind of way or are immunocompromised, we ask that you do not attend for your safety and the safety of other guests. If you have questions or concerns about specifics, please reach out. Bethany and I would be more than happy to go over anything with you!

Thank You

Before we get into the weeds, I’d like to take a moment to say thank you. There are a million other things you could be doing right now and yet; you chose this moment to read about Bethany and I and that means the world to us. We’re thankful for your time, your consideration. We’re thankful that you thought about us in this capacity. We’re thankful for any time or conversations or thoughts we’ve shared with you. We’re thankful for so many things about you, but mostly, we’re thankful that you are a part of our life. We truly can’t thank you enough for that.

How We Met

Our story isn’t anything special – we met on an online dating site and flirted a bunch. It is, in this day, very common, which is totally fine. It really doesn’t need to be more than that. Luckily for Bethany and I, it did become a little bit more and then a lot more, and now we’re getting married and you are here thinking, “where on earth is Russelville, Ohio?!”. It’s okay, I didn’t know where it was either! But then I became very familiar with it, and it became a special place for me the way it is for Bethany and her family. Russelville, Ohio is where Bethany’s family farm is located. Purchased by her grandfather, worked on and renovated by a variety of wonderful people, it has been Bethany’s “dream wedding location” for as long as she can remember, and so by extension, it is now my “dream wedding location”. It is a wonderful place that is cared for and loved by many amazing people. I’ve spent time there now and have started creating memories much like most of the Puterbaugh family has done already. Bethany and I are both extremely excited for you to be a part of what we hope is one of our favorite memories ever – our wedding day.

What's Next

However, we understand that this is a big ask, and we understand that life and money and kids and other friends and other families and prior engagements and sickness and a million other things happen and sometimes, no matter how hard you try and no matter how badly you want to, it just doesn’t work out. From the bottom of our heart, it’s okay – please don’t feel bad if you just can’t swing it. Again, I’m already so happy and thankful that you’re still reading this! Do you feel a little bit better about where Russleville, Ohio is? If you make the trip, Bethany and I will be as helpful as possible in accommodating you the best we can. If you’d like, there is plenty of land at the farm, and you are more than welcome to camp out. We can help you find airbnbs or hotels or hostels or a couch or an rv or whatever you need to make it work. Please do not hesitate to ask us!
