Great cafe for coffee, breakfast, and lunch. It's a mile from the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel (easy 20 minute walk or quick 3 minute drive) - they're famous for their crullers which I highly recommend! Great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and sandwiches.
Geno's Chowder & Sandwich Shop
Serving lobster rolls and chowder since 1965 - delicious lunch spot for a casual, clam shack feel. Geno's is located on the water in the South End of Portsmouth (just a stone's throw from Strawbery Banke and Prescott Park).

Great Island Common
Great Island Common park/beach is comprised of 32 acres of seaside green space and beach less than a mile from Wentworth by the Sea Hotel (very walkable). The town-owned park is open to the public 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Hiking
There are nature/hiking trails in the region surrounding Portsmouth. Odiorne Point State Park, Fort Foster, and Cutts Island all offer trails suitable for all levels of hikers.
Strawbery Banke Museum
The Museum interprets a long span of history, from the history of Indigenous peoples (artifacts dating back to 10,000-12,000 years ago), to the present day. You can purchase tickets online in advance if you'd like to visit the museum - it's open daily 10 AM-5 PM.
