Our Story

One day one of Max's friends was seeking advice on how to pursue a girl (aka me, Morgan) and showed Max my Instagram. Max immediately became interested in me and proceeded to give this friend terrible advice in hopes that this friend would not begin dating me. Months went by and Max forgot about it. On a random weekday Max walks into his favorite coffee shop and sees me behind bar (he had realized I was the same girl from instagram he was shown the previous year). From my perspective I see Max walk in and was immediately attracted to him. I think I even told my coworker "that man is the definition of my type". Max sat in the corner for a few hours reading his Bible. I happened to notice and was excited that he loved Jesus, but I did not think we would talk & that it would go anywhere. The whole time Max was working up the courage to introduce himself. As he was walking out he came to the register and bought a banana LOL. We talked and he asked if I went to the young adult group our church had. I didn't even know we went to the same church. He told me he'd see me Thursday and we said our goodbyes (here comes the most awkward but hilarious part of the story) I went in for a handshake and he went in for a fist bump and as you can imagine we had the most awkward hand collision ever. From then on we would chat on young adult nights and began to develop a friendship. We started talking more over text and FaceTime and a couple months in, Max asked me on our first date. At this point we were having fun and getting to know each other experiencing some really fun dates. We both went to work at summer camps over the summer and a week in, I broke up with him haha. Then spending time apart I realized I had fallen in love. When I got back to Georgia we rekindled and I told him these feelings (the feelings were reciprocated for anyone wondering haha) and we started dating again. A few weeks later I officially became his girlfriend. Over the course of a few years we continued to enjoy dating, pursuing the Lord together and experiencing all that life threw at us. All in all, Max and I have had our ups and downs. Through it all we have been reminded that God is a Righteous Redeemer who loves and truly cares for His children. We have been given so much grace and we are immensely grateful that we get to enter this forever covenant together where we can glorify the Lord through our lives and family. Please begin to pray for us during this engagement season as we prepare for marriage and that we would steward this season with intentionality and purpose. We are grateful for whoever is reading this. You have been apart of our stories either individually or together in some way, shape, or form and we want you to know that you have made a lasting impact. We hope to share our special day with you. Love, Max and Morgan
