We definitely recommend checking out Lithia Springs Park, one of our favorite local spots only 10 minutes from the venue! It’s the perfect place to cool off in crystal-clear water that stays a refreshing 72°F year-round—grab your swimsuit and enjoy a little slice of Florida paradise!
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa
If you’re feeling lucky (or just want a fun night out!), head to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. It’s got everything from live music and amazing restaurants to endless games—perfect for a little post-wedding excitement!
Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City
For a taste of Tampa’s history, check out the Columbia Café in Ybor City—a local restaurant known for its delicious food and famous 1905 Salad. This is one of our favorite places to eat and actually the oldest working restaurant in Florida! It is family-owned and such a cool experience. Tip: make a reservation beforehand.
Pirate Water Taxi
We highly recommend the Pirate Water Taxi — it’s a fun, relaxed hop-on/hop-off boat ride along the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa, stopping at top spots like Armature Works, Sparkman Wharf and the Florida Aquarium. We actually have season passes for this boat and love it!
Sparkman Wharf
If you enjoyed Armature Works, you’ll love Sparkman Wharf! It has the same vibrant, open-air feel with great food (taco truck style), waterfront views, and live entertainment—an awesome place to relax and enjoy Tampa’s energy. It is also a stop on the Pirate Water Taxi.
The Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium in Downtown Tampa is a fun, family-friendly spot featuring some hands-on exhibits and cool marine wildlife. It’s an easy way to spend a few hours exploring sharks, stingrays, and coral reefs right by the waterfront. Mia actually worked here one summer during college! It is also a stop on the Pirate Water Taxi.
Armature Works
Armature Works in Downtown Tampa is a super fun spot along the river with amazing restaurants (Ulele is Max's favorite place ever), rooftop views, and a lively atmosphere - perfect for grabbing a bite/drink and soaking in the city vibe. Also, it is one of the stops on the Pirate Water Taxi.
Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach is known for its soft white sand, turquoise Gulf waters, and a fun boardwalk-style atmosphere with restaurants, shops, and water activities. It’s a great spot for swimming, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying a sunset by the pier. By far my favorite beach in the Tampa Bay area!
