Transportation and Parking

Answer

Please note: coach bus transportation will be provided for *ALL* guests to and from The Promise Gardens. Coach bus pick up from The Holiday Inn Queensbury will be at 2:45 pm. Coach bus pick up from Courtyard Marriott will be at 3:00 pm. ~ Shuttles returning back to the pick-up locations will leave The Promise Gardens at the end of the evening, last call is 9:30pm. ** There is only ONE shuttle going to and coming from The Promise Gardens at the designated times - please be on time! ** There is VERY limited on-site parking available at the venue and is ONLY available for special needs, large carpools, or handicap accessibility and MUST be cleared by Max/Jess first. Ride shares (Uber, Lyft) are LIMITED in Athol -- please do NOT rely on ride shares. Please let us know as far in advance as possible and plan accordingly if you do not plan to utilize provided transportation provided -- organizing and relying on your own transportation to/from the venue will be at your own risk.

An important word about hotel check in!

If you plan on traveling to Lake George the morning of the wedding, please note hotel check in is at 4pm and unfortunately early check-in is NOT guaranteed at either hotel proprerty. If you plan to travel to Lake George the morning of the wedding, please call ahead to see if early check in is possible in order to drop off your belongings before the wedding festivities. Otherwise, you will need to check in after the wedding upon return from the shuttles. As a reminder, coach bus shuttle pick up from The Holiday Inn is 2:45 pm and the Courtyard Marriott to The Promise Gardens up is at 3pm!!

Are children invited to the wedding?

Unfortunately, children under the age of twelve (12) are not permitted at The Promise Gardens, with the exception of the flower girls and ring bearer. While we adore your little ones, this policy helps us create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere for all guests and we kindly ask for your understanding as we honor our beautiful venue's guidelines. We truly appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for making arrangements to celebrate with us!

Audio Guest Book!

Answer

Instead of a traditional guest book, we will have an audio guest book! It’s a special vintage phone that has been refurbished so you can pick up the receiver and leave us a voice message on our special day. Written words are wonderful, but hearing your voice makes it so much more personal and meaningful — think of it as leaving us a little love note we can listen to and cherish forever, and will last us a lifetime. Please share a memory, advice, a laugh, your favorite moment from the big day, or anything from the heart. BONUS POINTS if you leave a second message at the end of the evening!!! Thank you for participating!

About the Registry...

Please know that your presence at our wedding is more than enough, and that gifts are NOT expected whatsoever. If you feel moved to give, we have put together a small registry with a few things that we would love and cherish as we start this next chapter in life together. Your thoughtfulness means the world to us, but above all, we're just so happy to be able to share this special day with you. Your presence, love, and support are truly the greatest gift we could ever ask for!

Max & Jess Weekend Timeline

We plan on arriving to Lake George region the afternoon of Friday, 10/3, in prep for the big day on 10/4. We hope to enjoy a quiet Sunday with close friends and family - please let us know if you plan on staying in the area! We will be staying in the Lake George region through early Monday 10/6. You are welcome to stay as long or as little as you would like in the Lake George region - feel free to make a mini weekend getaway out of it!
