Sonia and Michelle were randomly assigned to be each others roommates back in the Santa Cruz dorms at UCSB - they both think it's because they ticked the "likes plants" box yet neither of them could keep a plant alive if they tried. Even still, they lucked out, became fast friends in their 200 sq ft dorm, and had much more in common than the questionnaire *dared* even ask. While they fundamentally disagree on some things (i.e. Sonia takes busses, Michelle prefers trains), they have remained the best of friends over the years! Insert ...then delete...story with too many inside jokes for anyone else to find amusing.
Christine Blakely

Christine and Michelle met at the Ice Cream Social on the first day of school. College, that is. Christine had asked what time it was and Michelle - ever the sharp ear (and always trying to fill in the blanks) - replied with, "yes, it is cold!" And they've been misunderstanding each other and laughing about it ever since. While their tastes in just about all things differ quite a bit, their love and respect for one another has been a mainstay in their friendship over the years!

One time Michelle and Michelle (Ross, hereafter "R4") were crossing into the Canadian border in Michelle Ross' mom's Acura (License Plate: ONEBADMOM) with literally *all* of their worldly possessions and the border patrol looked at each of them and back at each of their passports and said, "hmmphh, both named Michelle? and both born the same year??" As if they could possibly be doing anything wrong! They've been raising eyebrows and raising hell all across the world - they've traveled to many countries - thanks to R4 - and sought out many adrenaline rushes - thanks to MM - over the years! There will certainly be more girls' trips to come!

Kias and Michelle go wayyyyy back to the middle school years. Kias is one of the most authentic, honest, and energetic ("hyper" some may say) people Michelle knows, and is lucky to have her in her corner. Kias is always trying to turn things up a notch, and Michelle is always glad to be along for the ride. Staying in touch over the years hasn't always been easy, but anytime they get together they don't skip a beat <3!
Chelsea Blackman

Michelle and Chelsea met back in 2014 when Chelsea walked into Crossfit Oakland and gave Michelle a run for her money. They quickly became training partners, each other's cheerleaders, and PICs in and outside the gym. Hard to believe that was seven years ago. Their relationship was founded in the gym and competition, but has taken them on many adventures and Michelle is so grateful to have Chels as part of this special day!
Alena Morris

Michelle and Alena also met in the gym, but these two didn't get to know each other until a little later where they forged their friendship in gchatting, interior design, and starting silly diets at the same time (hard to find a friend who will bring a 2oz turkey baggie along for the ride, and this one is a keeper!). Alena is fun, wise, adventurous and an all around boss b*tch. Michelle can't wait to put some more trips on the calendar with this one!
Madeline Lindquist

While these two aren't 'technically' related, Maddy has always been a big sister to Michelle (aka Molly). All of the Lindquists are like family to Michelle, and she feels so lucky to have been able to look up to Maddy over the years, at times begging Maddy to play with her, even though Maddy was far too cool to be doing such things! Maddy is kind, caring and has a big heart; Michelle is so grateful to have her by her side!
Bella Maehler

This not-so-little peanut is Michelle's niece. You can always remember her birthday because it is 12/13/14, but don't let that year fool you, she's a very sharp soon-to-be SEVEN year old. She's over the moon about this role as well as her outfit for the evening (we think she's trying to upstage the bride!).
Brett Pettit

Brett and Max met in Chicago at Max's first 'real job.' Brett has always been like a big brother, offering guidance at every corner and keeping a close eye on Max. He and his wife Kristin will be coming from Nashville, TN and expecting a baby before the end of 2021!
Joe Hogan

Joe and Max met in high school, introduced by a mutual friend. Then in college they spent an epic Winter Break together and the rest as they say, is history. Joe has always inspired Max to go after his dreams and never settle in life. Joe will be visiting from San Diego where he lives with his two best friends, Speed Racer and Hanny (Senior Chihuahuas).
Alex Williams

Alex (AKA 'Rando') met on the first day of college and have been great friends ever since. The universe has always kept these two kindred spirits close. Fraternity brothers in college, they were reunited in Denver \ twice and look forward to helping each other with homeowner DIY projects for the foreseeable future. Alex and his wife, Vanessa, reside in Arvada CO (after a quick stint in Chico, CA).
Keith Lovitt

Keith and Max met at Crossfit EGA, the same gym where Max and Michelle met. Keith was often a reluctant workout partner for Max when others declined the opportunity. Keith would be the first person to drop what he was doing to help out when needed. He's offered wise counsel several times and a few laughs too. He loves beer and Bruce Springsteen. Keith and his wife Jill ('The Lovebergs') will be visiting from Berkeley, California, and are proud loving parents to Leah Lovitt.
Trevor McLaren

Trevor and Max met at a work party in Summer 2019 and made an instant connection. They hung out a few times months later and quickly became close. When COVID hit in early 2020 Trevor invited Max and Michelle to join a group of friends to quarantine with, which naturally was deemed 'The Quaren-team.' The six of them have been nearly inseparable since. Trevor sets an example for Max on what it means to be a friend. He's been a wise advisor to Max and has helped him to see more in himself. Trevor and his husband, Owen (our officiant), join us right here from Denver where they share a home with their dog, Seamus.
Paul Schrieber

Paul and Max met in the early years of college. When Max joined Sigma Chi Fraternity, he was asked to select a 'big brother,' someone he looked up to and wanted to create a lifetime bond with. Paul was this person. He has been the source of many laughs and an inspiration to Max on the importance of leading life with heart and passion. Paul visits us from Indianapolis, IN where he uses his talent to make incredible art.
Ryan Barker

Ryan and Max met in Houston, TX at Ryan's gym, Cityside. Ryan and Max quickly developed a 'bromance' that eclipsed the mutual friendships who had introduced them. Ryan is one of the hardest working people Max keeps company with. His care of community and family have inspired Max for years. Whether he is coaching a class at the gym or stepping behind the bar to serve his customers at Drift Bar, Ryan's infectious personality will make you have a better day. He joins us from Houston TX. He will certainly be wearing cowboy boots.
Joel Oubre

Joel and Max met in the bay area. They were introduced by Brett for a work opportunity. Within their first 'screening interview' over a beer in the Financial District, sparks flew. From there, Joel would be attributed with taking a chance on Max and becoming his first boss at Salesforce. They pretty flawlessly navigated being best friends and co-workers for years. They both made the move to Denver where Joel where their friendship has become the priority. Joel has been an amazing role model and friend to Max. Always open to teaching and learning just as much. Joel's passion for life teaches Max there is always more room for fun and adventure. He joins us from Denver with his girlfriend, Iliana and his pooch, Leeroy.
