HOW WE MET!

David: On a cool Saturday evening, I found myself enjoying a stranger's company. Not just her company but her mind. I was intrigued! We had only met that morning, at a mutual friend’s wedding. The initial encounter was so typical; that we might as well have bumped into each other on a pack train in NY. That evening, at the restaurant the ambiance was incredible. May have been the drinks but hours after the drinks had left the room; the interest didn’t. After obsessing over hobbies and interests the greatest wingman to ever live (my best man, in childhood, in adult hood and in life; my baby brother) stepped in at the right moment and inserted his MIGHTY cent (wink), “Dave, how are you guys going to send each others personality test results, when you don’t have each other’s number?” So, I thought to myself, “He was right! He’s not always right, nor am I for that matter, but in that moment, he was Jordan with the buzz beater!” “He made the ultimate game winning pass!" “Was I there for the game winning point?” “You bet, I was!” Until she found out my texting skills were, humm… nonexistent. “So did I catch the pass?” “Yes, yes I did.” “Did I win us the game and make the ultimate impression with my texting skills?” “No, no I didn’t ” Her being probably the most patient woman in NJ, she decided to work with me. We slowed down the texting in exchange for phone calls. From that moment on, the connection was made. We had more in common than anything we’ve ever experienced. Enough so, two weeks in our phone calls, we knew! The love bug had bit us and a month after we started dating. Moseline: Okay, babe that was a little melodramatic —it’s giving movie scene. Let’s slow down the story a bit. To me, David was just “the other sibling of friends I’d never met.” Honestly, at dinner I was talking to his brother about my pandemic hobbies and accomplishments when he pulled David into the conversation. It’s at that moment I noticed something interesting. David: Listening to her, I couldn’t help but be impressed. The way her brain worked; it amazed me. Every second felt like two. Moseline: Every second felt like two?! You mean I was boring? David: No! It just felt like time slowed down. In the best way, of course. It was like no one else was in the room but us. Moseline: Okay fine, I’ll admit it. He did have this way of actively listening, like his attention was completely locked in on me. I became curious. David: Just curious? Moseline: Yes, Babe. Just curious. (Wink)

THE FIRST CONNECTION!

David: Our first real connection came through a book—Psycho-Cybernetics. She had mentioned the book during dinner. Thanks to that winning pass (thanks Brev), I later confirmed that book was on my reading list. Moseline: Yeah, shout out to him! But let’s talk about how David ghosted me with his terrible texting skills! David: Texting has no timeline, okay? Moseline: Wow. No timeline. Anyway, by late November, David suggested we read the book together. That’s when things really took off. We’d start by discussing the book, but somehow, those conversations always expanded into everything—life, dreams, goals and the everything in between. David: The more we talked, the more I realized she was exactly whom I’d been looking for. Moseline: Same here. Two weeks in, I just knew. David: Knew what? Moseline: That you were my person. David: We clicked, like LEGO pieces some might say, like we’ve known each other forever. Moseline: It felt like our words echoed each other hearts. Needless to say, It was effortless. David: And then there was December 23rd, remember? One of the most memorable days of my life. Moseline: Aaah.. you mean my life? That day when we spoke, I had just come home from a funeral, which coincided with the anniversary of my father’s death. It’s always a hard time for me. David proposed we watch the movie “Seven Pounds.” David: Quick thing about Moseline, she avoids sad movies like the plague. Moseline: I mean, why willingly feel sad when the news exists? But fine, I gave in. David: Yeah, that night we talked until 6 a.m. That night, I knew she was the one. Moseline: Yeah, we laughed and cried. David: Babe, I had seen the movie already. Might have been laughter but definitely No crying. Moseline: It wasn’t just the movie we talked about. But yes, he turned one of my hardest days into something beautiful. For the first time I felt safe and cared for in a way that made me certain this was forever.

THE PROPOSAL!

David: I wanted to surprise her, so I picked the most unexpected time—while she was in Washington DC with her friends. Perfect plan, right? Except, it was freezing and to top it off she got sick. Moseline: Of course, out of all days, I was sick and bundled up in bed. Then my brother (whom I had accidentally ran into in the lobby and somehow convinced me that he was in town on business) asked me to bring him medication for a stomachache. I reluctantly dragged myself to his hotel room, only to find the door creepily opening and lights on the floor. David: You should have seen her face! Kapon! At that point, we turned the lights on; because apparently, Moseline wasn’t about to walk into a dark room. Moseline: I’ve seen too many movies, okay? Anyway, I walked in, still confused, calling his name and saying things like, “This is weird!” David: When I saw her, I felt pure happiness. She walked towards me, laughing and crying, and at that moment, I knew I’d pulled it off. Moseline: That walk felt like the longest walk of my life! I could tell he was nervous; when he got down on one knee, I just couldn’t stop smiling and crying. lol. David: And the rest is history. Moseline: Yep, history was made that day.

POST PROPOSAL FEELINGS AND REFLECTION.

David: Afterwards, I just kept thinking, “This is really happening. I’ve found her.” Moseline: I felt peaceful, happy, and complete. David: We celebrated with family and friends over dinner. Moseline: It was absolutely perfect. Reflection Both: Our story is everything we've dreamed of for a relationship— effortless communication, mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support. It reflects the foundation we’ve always wanted to built with our mate, where love and partnership come naturally. David: It feels like we have known each other forever. Moseline: Because in many ways, we were the answer of each other’s prayer.
