We're getting married!

We met as most young people do in Philadelphia, through a dating app! Our first date was at an Irish bar known for their Italian food called Murph's (we used this as inspiration for naming our cat Murphy). We both felt an immediate spark and bonded over our many similarities like our love for gnocchi, our crazy big families and our love for the outdoors! What was intended to be a quick first meeting, turned into a 7-hour night out on the town!

Maverick is the sweetest and most thoughtful person I know. He shows his love even in the smallest gestures throughout the day. Every morning, he makes me a cup of coffee, walks me to my car and waves me off. He has a positive outlook on life and reminds me to have fun and to stop and smell the roses! He's my gentle giant!

I knew Monica was special on our first date. As soon as she walked in the door there was a light that entered the room with her and her smile hit me from across the bar. She is unbelievably selfless, caring, and kind but also competitive and willing to challenge me to be better every day. Also, she is a hell of a baker.

One of our favorite weekends during the year is our "fall weekend" where we visit Clarks Summit to see the foliage and golf. Maverick knew this would be the perfect time. We went out to golf that Saturday and while we were on the 4th hole he decided to pop the question. It was a complete surprise to Monica, who eventually said yes! Don't ask us what was said because neither of us remember!
