We met and became friends while working together in the Deli at a Hy-Vee in Lincoln. Kayla was a sophomore at UNL, and Maverick was studying at SCC. We walked around the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln on our first date!

Maverick proposed when Kayla got home from the bar exam. Inside a package from an "unknown" sender was a box containing a small wooden puzzle. Kayla put the puzzle together and noticed that it said, "Will you marry me?" As she put the last piece in place, Maverick got down on one knee... It was an easy "Yes!"

We are so excited to start our next chapter as husband and wife, and we can't wait to celebrate our special day surrounded by our treasured family and friends. We hope you can join us!
