“Her” Story Near the end of high school, I was working at Frazier Farms grocery store. I had made lots of friends at the store and loved coming to work at the end of my school day. I remember Mavericks first day working there, and how a mutual friend introduced us. We had our first closing shift scheduled together about a week later. While taking care of our tasks together, we ended up talking for the first time. We talked about our families, places we wanted to travel, music etc. I thought Maverick was so kind and hardworking. The next couple months we spent hanging out on our lunch breaks and laughing A LOT. I knew Maverick liked me because... well, it was obvious. But I was getting myself ready to leave for college, so dating wouldn’t have worked out. We stayed good friends. I remember telling a coworker “Whoever gets to be with Maverick is the luckiest girl in the world”. We fell out of touch when I moved away, but college didn’t last long for me. I moved home after my first year. After moving home and settling in again, we finally reconnected. Again, we re-started our friendship. We each had things we knew we needed from the other person before we were going to date. Maverick checked every box for me. We started dating October 2022 and have loved each other ever since! “His” Story I walked into one of my first shifts at Frazier Farms expecting a normal shift of pushing carts and bagging groceries. Little did I know, what I thought would be a very simple evening of work, was the day I would meet the love of my life. At the very beginning of my shift, I saw Julia pushing carts and I was enchanted with her beauty. I immediately went to my friend Zack and ask him to introduce us. I instantly fell in love with her passion for life, her ability to care for people and the generosity she extends to anyone she meets. Over the next weeks of sharing evenings with Julia, while talking about our sports and long days of high school, I fell head beyond heels for Julia. This was met with the brutal reality of her having to leave for college. Julia and I spent a lot of time discussing Gods timing of things and I learned that any future we would end up having together would be entirely on Gods time and not on ours. Fast forward a year, we both continued to grow individually and learn a lot about ourselves. Julia came back from school and that October of 2022 we went for a drive down PCH and picked up exactly where we left off. I am pretty sure my face still hurts from how much we were smiling that night. We continued to go on dates, chase sunsets, and walk through life together. Now we will not only walk through life together, but soon get to grow and build a life together as husband and wife.
