Since we are traveling to the Dominican Republic, a valid U.S. Passport is required for all guests. Please double-check your expiration date; it is generally recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
Good news! If you booked your room through Destination Weddings, your round-trip airport transportation is already covered. Look for instructions in your booking confirmation regarding where to meet your shuttle at the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
Yes! The Dominican Republic requires a mandatory Electronic Ticket (e-ticket) for every passenger entering and leaving the country. This digital form replaces the old paper customs and immigration cards. • Where to go: Only use the official government website: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ • When to do it: You can fill it out any time before your flight, but we recommend doing it 72 hours before departure. • Cost: The e-ticket is 100% FREE. If a website asks you for a credit card or payment, it is a third-party scam site—please exit and use the official link above. • The QR Code: Once you submit the form, you will receive a QR code. Take a screenshot or print this out. You will need to show it to the airline agent at check-in and again to immigration officers in Punta Cana. • Departure: Don't forget—you also need to generate a code for your flight back to the U.S. when you leave!
We want you to look and feel your best while staying cool in the Caribbean breeze! Here is a guide to our weekend style: Wednesday: Welcome Cocktail Hour & Dinner Dress Code: Resort Wear Think "Vacation Chic." This is more elevated than what you’d wear to the pool, but more relaxed than the wedding day. • For Women: Flowy maxi or midi dresses, elegant rompers, or dressy sets. Bright colors and tropical prints are highly encouraged! Feel free to wear dressy sandals or wedges. • For Men: Short-sleeved button-downs (linen or high-quality cotton), premium polos, and tailored shorts or chinos. No swimwear or flip-flops for this event, please. Thursday: The Wedding Day Dress Code: Beach Semi-Formal We’ll be celebrating in the Mangrove Gazebo and Garden, so we recommend attire that is polished but breathable. • For Women: A tea-length or floor-length sundress, or a dressy jumpsuit. • Footwear Tip: Since the ceremony and cocktail hour are in garden and gazebo areas, we suggest block heels, dressy wedges, or fancy flats to avoid sinking into the grass. • For Men: A long-sleeved button-down shirt with slacks or chinos. Blazers are optional, and ties are definitely not required! • Color Tip: Light colors like light blue or grey will keep you much cooler than dark navy or black. Refer to this Pinterest board for inspiration: https://pin.it/2GICCts5U 💡 A Note on the Tropical Climate Punta Cana in May is beautiful, but it can be warm and humid. We recommend choosing natural fabrics like linen, silk, or cotton to stay comfortable throughout the festivities.
⛵ The Catamaran Cruise When is the cruise and why so early? We will be heading out on May 8th. Pick-up is between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (exact time TBD). We know it's an early start after a night of dancing, but we chose this time for the best possible experience: the waters are much calmer, the snorkeling visibility is at its peak, and we’ll be back by 1:00 p.m.—giving you the whole afternoon to nap by the pool or explore! What is included on the boat? This is a private 3-hour excursion featuring: • Open Bar: Unlimited premium rum, vodka, tequila, beer, and cocktails. • Food: Mini sandwiches, nachos, and fresh tropical fruit. • Adventure: Snorkeling at a coral reef (gear provided) and a visit to a natural pool sandbar with a floating bar. What should I bring to the Catamaran? To ensure you’re comfortable, we recommend bringing: • Swimsuit (wear it under your clothes) and a cover-up. • Reef-safe sunscreen • Sunglasses and hats • Motion sickness medicine or bracelets • A beach towel from the resort. • Waterproof bag or dry bag for your phone/belongings. • A bit of cash for tipping the boat crew if you feel they did a great job!
What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. If you arrive early, the resort can hold your luggage so you can start enjoying the pool and restaurants immediately! Do I need to make dinner reservations? Nope! One of the best parts about Dreams is that no reservations are required for their à la carte restaurants. Just walk up and request a table. Are there activities for kids? Yes! If you are traveling with family, the Explorer’s Club for Kids (ages 3-12) and the Core Zone Teens Club are both included and offer supervised activities throughout the day. Do I need an adapter for my electronics? The Dominican Republic uses the same Type A and B plugs (standard 110V) as the U.S. and Canada, so you won't need any special adapters for your chargers or hair tools.
We have chosen Dreams Royal Beach for its beautiful balance of luxury and fun.
