FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting semi-formal, cocktail attire for our day. For example, this would be cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, floor length dresses, midi dresses, or tea length dresses for women. For men, slacks and a dress shirt, suits, blazers, and ties optional.

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you please do not wear colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, creams, ivories, champagnes, blush etc. Other than that- wear whatever colors you would like!

Question

Can I bring guests/+1's not noted on my invitation?

Answer

We addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself and your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love all of your little ones! However, due to many factors including limited space, we respectfully request that you only bring children that are included on your invitation/rsvp.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no”, so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved hotel blocks at the SpringHill Suites and DoubleTree in Lawrence. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information and links to our room blocks.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 1:45 p.m. as the ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony as it will be in the Catholic Church. Why? We've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for them to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception sites both have parking lots attached to them that are free to park in.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please see the "Registry" tab for all the items we have registered for. Thank you in advance!
