Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 6pm, doors will be closed around 5:55pm to allow for everyone to be seated prior to starting. Arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony starting would be ideal. There will be commuter traffic around this time due to Homewood being so close to Birmingham so please take that into account!

Question

Can I take pictures with my phone during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We are doing an unplugged ceremony. We hired our wonderful photographer Kaitlyn who is more than capable of capturing our ceremony. If you want to see the photos of the ceremony we will be more than happy to share them after they come back. During the reception, please feel free to take as many as you like.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is great, if you would like to get fancier than that, be our guest! No jeans, and of course no white/cream/ivory etc dresses. It will be May in Alabama, so it will be hotter than you imagine. The wedding and reception are both inside, but cocktail hour is a mix of indoor and outdoor, so do with that information what you will in terms of temperature.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," or lists your date by name, then yes, if not, then no.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Due to our limited venue space, we are having an ‘adults only’ celebration.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. There is a free parking deck a block away but take an Uber/Lyft. We want you to have a fun night while being safe!

Question

What if I can’t come?

Answer

We understand that traveling to and attending a wedding is both a time and money commitment. So while we would love to celebrate with you, please don’t feel pressured to make the trip, whatever the reason for having to RSVP no may be. If you know that you won’t be able to attend please RSVP “no” in the RSVP tab here on the website.
