Take advantage of the small waterfall out front if you are not in the mood for a hike. Use the gorge trail for a nice and easy walk through the woods that could count as hiking if you tell the story right. Take the rim trail if you have been missing your stair master and want a birds-eye view. If your car misses its stair master, you can park at the overview. Or do a drive by on the way to the venue if you're running late!
There's food, and it's delicious. There's a lake, and it's beautiful.
THIS IS WHERE WE GOT ENGAGED! (But on the top, inside the gorge, where people aren't supposed to be. Shhhhhh.) However, here's some useful information. This is not a hike. You can see the falls from the road and if you want to get out of your car you can walk in for a closer view.
This is where I work. If you feel like checking out campus stop by the fountains and you'll see my favorite view in Ithaca.
Sage likes the tostadas and I like the super smothered burrito. Sit outside and do some people watching. It's Ithaca, there will be people and you'll probably see something interesting. And if you don't, there's probably a guy on the Commons doing magic.
This is our favorite brewery in the area. It is on Lake Seneca so you will have to plan for some travel. The sun sets opposite the lake from the brewery so if you go late you will have a great view of the sunset. If you go in the early evening or afternoon, be careful, it gets pretty hot on the patio due to the direct sunlight.
