This is probably our first choice when we want to get out and go for a walk while taking advantage of living by the water! It is a beautiful, easy walk with views of the Chester River, Kent Narrows, and Piney Creek. It is accessible from Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center and offers benches and a beach (that Ronan loves to play on).
This is where we took our engagement pictures! It is an award-winning 276-acre nature park featuring a 3.25-mile oyster chaff walking trail, which meanders through wildflower meadows, wetlands, tidal ponds, woodlands, and sandy shoreline. The trail provides a unique vantage point for viewing an incredible variety of waterfowl, wildlife, and plant species. Enjoy the gorgeous views of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge while putting your toes in the sand on the beach.
Explore the natural history of the Eastern Shore and local conservation efforts while hiking scenic trails, birdwatching, and even go kayaking with views of Marshy Creek, Hog Bay, and Prospect Bay. This is another one of our favorite places to go for a scenic walk!
Looking to go for a walk? This 6.5 mile long trail spans from east to west from Terrapin Nature Park to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center. It has beautiful water views along the way. (Ask us about our accidental 9.5 mile walk on the Cross Island Trail!)
We love visiting this gorgeous winery with impeccable views of the Chester River. They have a sun-filled tasting room, outdoor deck and patio, as well as ample seating and picnic space available on the lawn.
