Traveling to the Island

Martha's Vineyard is a popular location for weddings. To ensure the best rates and options be sure to make your travel arrangements early. We suggest you book in Oak Bluffs (OB) , a beach town near to us that has plenty of fun things to do and from where we will provide transportation to and from the wedding events. We will be blocking off rooms at a hotel in OB --- details to come. There are also tons of house rentals on the island that are often cheaper than hotels if you get a group of people together. Getting to Martha's Vineyard is a bit of a journey, but we hope you find it's worth it. To get here from out of state you can fly onto the island directly or fly to Boston, then drive or take the shuttle bus to the ferry. Renting or bringing a car is NOT necessary. Once on the island there are many options for getting around including cabs, Ubers, bikes and public transportation.

By Sea

The Steamship Authority operates year round ferry service for walk-on passengers and vehicles from Woods Hole, MA to Martha's Vineyard. It's an easy 45 minute ride that travels to both Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. Walk-on passengers can park cars in the Palmer Avenue Lot and take a free shuttle to the ferry terminal. Walk-on passengers can buy tickets at the ferry terminal on the day of travel. If you must bring a car onto the island please make note to make your reservations well in advance either online at http://steamshipauthority.com or by calling (508) 477-8600.

By Air

If traveling to Martha's Vineyard from out of state via plane, Logan Airport in Boston is the best place to fly into. From Logan you can travel to Woods Hole on the Peter Pan shuttle bus, then walk right onto the Steamship ferry! Bus reservations are required and can be made at http://peterpanbus.com/Routes/Boston-to-Woodshole-Bus/. It is also possible to book flights onto the island to the Martha's Vineyard Airport, but most cross country require several stops.

We recommend you book houses in Oak Bluffs where transportation will be provided to the wedding. Vineyard Haven is another option close to the wedding venue.
