Our love story began in July of 2016 in Fort Myers, Florida. Maura had just started working at Gartner and Taylor, already having found a home at Gartner, was working to get promoted. Good thing part of Taylor’s promotion strategy involved him spending extra time in Gartner’s training building. They both noticed each other and Maura was convinced he was probably married with kids due to how well he carried himself. Taylor was also convinced that Maura was cool, calm, and collected. Fortunately for Maura, and unfortunately for Taylor, both of those things proved to be untrue shortly thereafter :) While Maura was at a mutual friend’s house and Taylor was at the gym, Taylor saw a picture posted on social media and knew Maura was close by. He took that as an opportunity to go find and meet Maura, as he was nervous if he didn’t, she would get lost in the Gartner abyss. In typical Maura fashion, she left early to go home and woke up with a Facebook message the next morning from Taylor, “Hey I must have just missed you last night. Call me sometime xxx-xxx-xxxx.” Five years’ worth of memories later, we’ve hiked 26 miles to Machu Picchu, traveled near and far, and have persevered through some of life’s hardest struggles together. In November of 2019, Taylor popped the question on their annual Asheville trip, and Maura said yass! We cannot wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
