Yes, there will be a gap between the ceremony and reception. Luckily, Old Town Alexandria is one of our favorite spots for shopping, taking pictures, or getting a quick drink and bite to eat. Our hotel blocks are also in walking distance if you prefer to freshen up or relax before the dinner. Please see our things to do page for some of our favorites. Make sure not to eat too much in between, as we want all to come hungry and ready to eat at Mia's!
We ask our guests to wear formal attire. Dresses (of any length) or slacks and a blouse for women. For men, we recommend dress pants and a jacket (tie optional).
Yes. The shuttle will be available in front of Hotel Indigo in Old Town Alexandria at 12pm. The shuttle will depart from the hotel promptly at 12:15pm to head to the church. It is encouraged to be on the shuttle no later than 12:10pm. We ask that our families stick around at the church after the ceremony from a few photos. Following photos, the shuttle will drive us all back to Hotel Indigo in Old Town. From there, you are free to explore until our reception at 5pm! Please note: Hotel Indigo is in walking distance of many bars for a quick drink in between and is in walking distance of our reception at Mia's Italian Kitchen.
For those who opt to drive, there is a large parking lot for free parking at our ceremony. It is about a 20 minute drive from Alexandria to Arlington.

The after party is at Union Street Public House, only one block away from Mia's and very close to Hotel Indigo. Join us on the second floor for drinks and dancing. We will have a DJ to keep the party going!
Yes, there is parking in the hotel blocks for an additional fee. However, if you are looking for a cheaper option, we recommend one of the public parking lots around Old Town Alexandria. A link to the parking can be found in our "Things To Do" section.
If you know if you are able to attend or not, we kindly ask that you RSVP once you know so we can continue planning with an estimated headcount. However, formal RSVP will be due by Friday, April 3.
