One unseasonably warm January day, I swiped right on a handsome stranger. Messages started flying back and forth, resulting in an invitation to go out for a glass of wine. When he asked what kind of wine I liked, I answered orange, thinking I would throw him off. Instead, he said "I know just the place" and I said, "Uh oh, we might have something here". Wine led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and we've been toasting to saying yes to that winter date ever since!

On Parikshit's first break during his grueling intern year of residency, we headed out to get some sun and rented a beautiful little cottage on a cliff over the ocean near Santa Cruz, CA. One night he asked me to meet him outside when I was ready to leave for dinner, and when I did, he got down on one knee, with the sun setting over the beach behind him, and asked me to marry him. I could barely hold in my "YES" long enough for him to ask, and now we're engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Maine!
