We’re getting married!

Our love story is definitely one of todays modern online dating world. In October of 2016 Michael decided to shoot his shot and “Slid into the DMs”. Quickly taking interest in eachother we began to hit it off but sadly in the end the timing wasn’t right. We decided to stay friends after this and our friendship grew in ways that have set the foundation for the love we share. After a couple months we both decided the timing may be right and took things slow. By time December came around we had become inseperable and inevitably our feelings grew. Now jumping to New Years Eve 2016, Michael had finally decided to ask Maura to be his girlfriend... (what a way to bring in the New Year!!!). Over the next several years our relationship has blossomed. Through the good and the bad times our love always remained strong and continues to grow.

Fast forward to December 25th, 2018 when maura began her 2 day holiday stretch as a brand new nurse. What Maura had no idea of was that this Christmas would be one she would never forget. On Christmas Day michael decided that today just wasnt the right time ultimately changing his plans all around. Now we’ve come to December 26th. After a very tiring stretch of 12 hour shifts Maura had come home and was planning to jump straight into her pajamas. Laurie (Mauras mother) came running into her room yelling there was “some kind of weird animal” out back and that she needed to come look. Maura was extremely reluctant taking all the time in the world to go see this mysterious animal since her mother frequently had made these accusations. Of course Maura even said to her mother “Seriously? Do I have to put my pants back on for this?” Finally, after taking her time maura decided to go out and take a look not know what she would find. Michael, who was freezing to death, nervous, and continuosly doing reruns of his speech in his head was outside waiting for his future wife. When she walked outside Maura found Michael who was playing their song, had a beautiful lit path made from candles and real pine, a beautiful lit up gazebo, white roses, champagne, and the most beautiful ring in the world. Of course she said YES! After the proposal Michael had surprised Maura with her two best friends (who naturally already had been in on the whole thing). In the end we had a magical night surrounded by family and friends.
