Maid of Honor
From the day she was born, she was the pain in my side but also my built in best friend. Sharing a room for 15 years certainly insured that! But with family vacations, rides to high school, coaching swimming, and your typical sister bonding, we realized how much we need each other and how much more fun we could have together. Through all the laughs and adventures over the years, I need her by my side. Purvis would add, "Go Bucks!"
Best Man
One of my oldest friends, Nick grew up across the street from me and we've been best friends our entire lives. Our competitive nature has always kept things interesting but no argument has ever gotten the best of us. Nick is one of the biggest reasons I played football in high school, the only reason I ever applied to Ohio State and was one of the biggest supporters of me moving down to Maryland to be with the girl of my dreams. I am very excited to hear his speech at my wedding so I know what's in-bounds for his.
Maid of Honor
Not only has she supported me through the transition of student to student-teacher to teacher, but she also dealt with Purvis since middle school! We would not be here today if she didn't introduce me to her cute best friend from home ;). To this day, she is our greatest supporter and cheerleader.
Groomsman
Sean and I met spring of our Sophomore year and by random chance lived across the street from each other Junior year of college. That fall of our Junior year we played on the club football team together and pregamed every single football game, whether we remember it or not (Nebraska amiright). I've since moved away from Ohio but have stayed best friends with Sean and we've helped each other tackle everything that comes with growing up.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and I experienced the adventures of adulting together! We learned about what it was like to have our first job, first apartment together, and even our first kitten. We supported each other with worry and laughs through our young adult years. She also was the first person to call Purvis my boyfriend (long before I could admit it).
Groomsman
Eric and I met in the early stages of our Karate careers and grew up beating each other up. Together we've gotten our black belts, traveled overseas to compete and even brought back some hardware. Eric is not only one of my best friends but also my best teammate and coach.
Bridesmaid
I was her mentor for her first couple years in our class, but very quickly she became my "work wife." Although she no longer is my coteacher, we are now neighbors and many wine nights still get us through the school year. Now I can't get through the year without our good times, and maybe a few reminders that self-care is important (thank you!).
Groomsman
Jimmy and I became best friends attending the same CCD class, performing in school shows and playing football together our senior year. We've experienced some big changes together like graduating high school/college and finding real world jobs. I try to see Jimmy every time I'm in NY so we can countdown the days until the next alumni football game.
Bridesmaid
My oldest friend! Our families have been through lots of baseball games, countless play dates, lots of dress up, and several vacations. It was devastating when they moved to California, but Caitlin and I always stayed in touch.
Groomsman
Any one who knows me knows I've wanted siblings my entire life and in July I get to add 2 brothers and 2 sisters to my family. Kevin has already been like a brother and given Maura and I advice on wedding plans. I am especially looking forward to being an uncle to their new baby girl.
Bridesmaid
My closest cousin, only a month apart! We were always wild and crazy together. We've tackled similar life events at the same time and talked about it as we grew up. Now it's time we get married just a month apart too!
Groomsman
Brian has also already been like a brother to me, from the Wisconsin/Ohio State rivalry to playing board games with the Fries family when every one is home for a school or holiday break. I'm looking forward to all of the future tailgates and family parties and most of all some more Buckeye football wins against the Badgers.
