We're getting married!

Maureen and Alex first met at San Jose State University in 2015 in a Theatre class. Maureen first noticed Alex and decided to take the desk in front of him because she thought he was the cutest one in the room. For the next 3 years of college, they remained good friends and colleagues in theatre productions. After Maureen graduated in 2018, they both decided to catch up as friends. Over the next couple of months, they found a friendly excitement to be each others' “plus ones” for friend events. One day, after carpooling home after a film project and talking about their interest in watching the Incredibles 2 as friends, Alex worked up the courage to ask Maureen to watch it together as a date. They both always had a special place for each other; since they worried the other saw them as a "bro", they were excited to give love a chance. Since then, they've watched many more movies as a couple for over 7 years, and got engaged in Hawaii in August 2025.
