The Fat Tire Ride is a laid-back, charity bike ride on paved roads around Geneva Lake—perfect for casual cyclists. It takes place on Saturday, September 20th, starting at 9:00 AM (but you can begin at your leisure). Riders can start from Champs Sports Bar & Grill in Lake Geneva or The Ridge Hotel, and follow a scenic 21.5-mile route with evenly spaced “rest” stops along the way. It’s a fun way to explore the area while supporting a good cause! Given the popularity of the Fat Tire Ride, it's best to reserve your bike well in advance from one of the local bike shops, such as Avant Cycle Café or Lake Geneva E-Bike Company.
After-party vibes: When the reception ends at 11 PM, feel free to make your way to Bar West at the Abbey Resort. Enjoy live jazz piano music, a laid-back atmosphere, and one last toast to a joyful day.
After the farewell brunch, we’ll be renting a couple of pontoon boats for a relaxed afternoon cruise on Lake Geneva. If you'd like to join, meet us at Chuck’s Lakeshore Inn at 12:30 PM—we’ll set sail promptly at 1:00 PM and cruise until 4:00 PM. Fontana Beach is a beautiful sandy spot on Lake Geneva, just a few steps from the wedding venue—perfect for a quick dip or a relaxing afternoon by the water. You can also enjoy a walk along the scenic Lakeshore Path, a historic 20+ mile trail that winds around the entire lake.
We recommend spending some time in the town of Lake Geneva—just a short drive away. You’ll find charming boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Some of our favorites include House of Bogini and Simple Café!
Tour this architectural and engineering masterpiece in Williams Bay (a 7-min drive from Fontana). All tour tickets must be reserved in advance on the website. Space & Spaces tours take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Einstein himself visited the observatory back in 1921!
