Question

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

Aside from our flower girls and ring bearers, our wedding will be adults-only. We love your kids, but hope you use our big day as an opportunity to have a night off and celebrate with us!

Question

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1!

Question

COVID PRECAUTIONS?

Answer

We are keeping an eye on the increasing case numbers from the Delta variant in Illinois. Since studies suggest MOST of these cases are happening in the unvaccinated, we are strongly encouraging everyone to get vaccinated before our wedding. We know not everyone will do so, but we hope if you choose not to vaccinate yourself, that you get tested for COVID prior to our wedding and wear your mask when not seated—especially when dancing. Our family and friends mean the world to us, and we want everyone to be safe and think of each other's safety at this time.

Question

CAN I BOOK A ROOM AT STARVED ROCK LODGE?

Answer

Due to the limited amount of rooms the lodge has, we have only reserved rooms for our immediate families and our bridal party. Also, Starved Rock Lodge has a two-night requirement for weekend stays, which we know many people would not be willing to stay for. We have booked plenty of rooms at nearby hotels for guests' convenience.

Question

WILL THERE BE A SHUTTLE?

Answer

Pickup Times: *Please be ready and waiting in front of the hotels at these times for the trolley. -3:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. Drop-off Times: *Please make your way to the outside of the Lodge by the entrance by these times to return to the hotels. -9:30 p.m. -10:30 p.m. ***Note: Uber and Lyft are extremely limited in this area, so do not rely on these forms of transportation for getting home. If you'd like to stay later than the times the trolley will be available, we recommend having a designated driver who can drive back to the hotels at the end of the night—it's about a 20-minute drive from the lodge.***

Question

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

Answer

We ask that everyone please refrain from taking your phone or camera out throughout the entire wedding ceremony, especially during the entrance and exit. We don't want to look back on our professional wedding photos and see our guests obstructing them by using their phone camera. Once the ceremony is done, take as many pictures and videos as you'd like!!

Question

WILL IT BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

It sure will be! Come on, you guys know us ;)

Question

CAN I MAKE A SPECIAL REQUEST FOR MY DINNER?

Answer

Of course! Please let us know if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or anything else and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

Our wedding will have a semi-formal dress code. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be outside and will last approximately 30 minutes, so bring a jacket if the forecast calls for cold temperatures. Even though the ceremony is outside, everything is paved, so ladies: no need to worry about your heels in the grass!
