Our mutual friend Sunny Wang invited Andrea to his friend's house for a BBQ. It was a 49er playoff party so Andrea wasn't really interested in going. However, she convinced her friends they should stop by since they hadn't seen Sunny in awhile. Thank goodness she did because the party just so happened to be at David's house! They flirted a little but not enough to think much of it after leaving. To Andrea's surprise, David asked her on a date a few days later and they have been together ever since! Last but not least, we are all gathering together in celebration on August 23rd thanks to Mr. Sunny Wang introducing Andrea and David, so it is only fitting that he officiate their wedding. :)

Andrea was told they were going on a boat with their friends that day so she got all dolled up, including getting her nails done (thank goodness!). David kept it cool the entire morning and afternoon--she had no idea anything was up! They got down to Shelter Island earlier than they were supposed to for the boat so David suggested they go on a walk by the water. Andrea could feel his nerves at this point and knew something strange was going on. David got down on one knee and she was so surprised and excited! She couldn't believe it! At this point Andrea asked David if they were really going on a boat with their friends. He said no, but that his boss had a boat docked and he suggested we go say hi and have a drink with him before going to do their own thing. She was a little annoyed by this but she went with it. To her surprise there was a boat filled with all of their family and friends ready to pop champagne and cruise the water to help them celebrate. It was truly the perfect day.
