1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Matthew and I met in 2017 briefly at the hospital when Matthew worked for an ambulance company and he transported one of my patients to their radiation appointment. We met again months later at the gym! This is when we exchanged Instagrams and followed each other for a whole year without saying a word to each other, UNTIL...2018 :) The first time we hung out was a year later in 2018 :) - Our first date was at 1920 Tea Club in Fresno, CA. - Our second date was miniature golfing & game night with friends (or was it the Fresno Fair and the Ludacris concert? haha) - On April 10, 2019, we became officially boyfriend and girlfriend <3 - On May 1st, 2022, we got engaged! ------------------- Matthew y yo nos conocimos brevemente en 2017 en el hospital cuando Matthew trabajaba para una compañía de ambulancias y llevo a uno de mis pacientes a su cita de radiación. ¡Meses después nos volvimos a encontrar en el gimnasio! Aquí es cuando intercambiamos Instagrams y nos seguimos durante un año entero sin decirnos una palabra, HASTA... el 2018 :) La primera vez que salimos fue un año después, en 2018 :) - Nuestra primera cita fue en 1920 Tea Club en Fresno, CA. - Nuestra segunda cita fue minigolf y noche de juegos con amigos (¿o fue la feria de Fresno y el concierto de Ludacris? jaja) - El 10 de Abril del 2019, nos convertimos oficialmente en novios <3 - ¡El 1 de Mayo del 2022, nos comprometimos!

Fast forward to the present day... Matthew has worked as a firefighter for the last 2 years and has transferred to a new city in LA County. In October 2022 he finished the Glendale fire academy. He is now a probationary firefighter for the city of Glendale, CA. Vanesa works as a pediatric oncology nurse at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, CA while attending school at Fresno State. She is studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner :) We love to laugh and have fun together! We are excited about the future! It hasn’t been an easy process, but we have learned patience and understanding along the way. We love God, we love each other, and support each other in our individual dreams and goals! ------------------- Matthew ha trabajado como bombero durante los últimos 2 años y se ha trasladado a una nueva ciudad en el condado de Los Ángeles. En Octubre de 2022 terminó la academia de bomberos de Glendale. Ahora es bombero a prueba de la ciudad de Glendale, CA. Vanesa trabaja como enfermera de oncología pediátrica en Valley Children's Hospital en Madera, CA mientras esta asistiendo a la escuela de Fresno State. Ella está estudiando para convertirse en una Enfermera Practicante de Familia :) ¡Nos encanta reír y divertirnos juntos! ¡Estamos entusiasmados por el futuro! No ha sido un proceso fácil, pero hemos aprendido paciencia y comprensión en el camino. ¡Amamos a Dios, nos amamos unos a otros y nos apoyamos mutuamente en nuestros sueños y metas individuales!

A few favorite things Vanesa loves about Matthew: - Matthew is goofy and always makes me laugh! - Matthew stands up for people when he sees injustice - Matthew always thinks positively and is very optimistic! - Matthew is the life of the party and fun to be around (he comes up with games on the spot that make something like waiting in line more exciting!) - Matthew is easy-going and understanding of everyone and everything A few favorite things Matthew loves about Vanesa: - Vanesa is loving and caring - Vanesa is always up for an adventure (and will always be down to play the little games and challenges I come up with) - Vanesa is witty, funny, driven, and extremely smart! - Vanesa is strong, rarely complains, and is always willing to help others - Vanesa appreciates and enjoys the little things in life.
